Mommy and Me Monday

This month has been crazy, that being the reason why I have not blogged in almost three weeks!!  I will highlight a few of the things we have done these past few weeks and try not to make this post too long...

Mother's day week, Nicho's teacher planned a nice Mother's day tea for all the moms in the 2 year old class. She had the kids make blueberry muffins for us the morning of the celebration and she also put together a really yummy spread of foods for us to snack on along with the muffins. She taught the kiddos a song to sing to us and then after they sang to us they served us our yummy punch and blueberry muffin.

This was such a cute party and I will always remember my first Mother's Day Tea.

My beautiful flowers my two babies gave me on Mother's Day along with my yummy breakfast of blueberry pancakes, bacon, and eggs!!  I didn't take a picture of the food, I should have but I was too hungry and didn't think about it at the time.

The day of the Mother's Day Tea was also Cinco de Mayo!!  The class also made pinatas after making the muffins.  Check out Nicho's cute pinata!!

I have been behind on my Mommy and Me Mondays so here are two pictures of me and my babies to make up for the delay from the past 2 Mondays...oops

Here is a random picture of Nicho at bed time.  We usually read one story and then he will ask for a puzzle to work on in bed and then will fall asleep.  Well on this night he must have been REALLY tired that he fell asleep before finishing the puzzle and putting it away.  John went and found him like this and took his picture.

Another random picture, this time of Boa.  I asked John to get him ready so I could go run a few errands with him...and so he did...

This past month Noah has discovered his feet.  He is always grabbing them and putting them in his mouth.  I love looking back in the car and seeing his bare feet up in the air, it's SO CUTE!!

I know I have taken more feet shots but I can't seem to locate the folder, oh well moving on...

Brotherly Love, Nicho just adores Noah.  He has now realized Noah isn't going anywhere and always reminds me to pick him up from my mother-in-law EVERYDAY after school by saying " pick-up Noah".  One time a few weeks ago my mother-in-law had to run an errand in town and told me she would drop Noah off at our house later on that day so instead of me making my usual right onto FM620 after school to go pick up Noah, I made a left to come on home and Nicho THREW A FIT!! He started crying and asking about Noah.  I calmed him down and told him that granny would bring Noah to our house later.

Love this picture!  Nicho loves to talk to his baby brother and Noah always loves to talk back :)  Nicho can definitely entertain him for me when I need him.

Playdough fun, I made some homeade playdough a few weeks ago and Nicho was just interested in cutting it up.

  Someone turned 4 months during our hiatus...

At Peanut's 4 month check-up he weighed in at 13.5lbs and 24 3/4 inches long placing him in just over 25th percentile for weight and head and 50th percentile for height. 

What he is doing now that he is a month older...

• YES! he is sleeping 8+hours and no longer wakes to eat in the middle of the night, hallelujah!
• he can put himself to sleep at night after I rock him for about 5-10 minutes
• still drooling LOTS
• has very good head control
• still trying to roll over but has yet to succeed...if only that darn hand would get out of his way
• laughs and giggles especially at silly big brother
• sucks his thumb when he cannot find his paci
• loves it when mommy plays peek-a-boo

His pediatrician said it is okay to introduce solids, our choice,  but we are going to wait at least another month to do this because he doesn't seem to be wanting more to eat than what he is getting now.  I read that if babies are still hungry even after drinking milk then they should be introduced to solids to help them become full but this is not the case for Noah right now.  We were told to put some Polyvisol in his milk once a day to make sure he is getting enough iron since he is solely on breast milk still.

Now...off to the Austin American Statesman Auto Show...

We were greeted by Iron Man.  Nicho is clueless as to who Iron Man is but he has lately shown some interest in robots and cartoon super heroes, he is such a BOY!

Then he spotted the convertible red version of the same car.

"See you later mom!"

This car was the daddy's favorite, this car is a 6 figure Nissan!  He liked this one better than the Corvette below!  I don't know the stats on this car but it must be good for him to say that.  Honestly though I don't know WHO would spend this much on a car, we wouldn't, even if we had tons of money!!

Then off it was to the Audi section...

Not only is Nicho pooped in the picture above, I AM!!  I didn't intend for this post to be long...almost 2 hours later!!  I will have to continue more stories on another post.  This weekend was full of fun because we had some family come into town and we went to the Main Event and the lake.  Will post more pictures soon!!

Me and my little Peanut before bedtime.  Big brother was so tired from riding his bike and he fell asleep before I got out of the shower, Noah enjoyed the quiet and alone mommy time I am sure :)
