We went to one of Nicho's classmate's birthday party at Gymboree today. Nicho had a blast, afterwards we went to Hut's to celebrate Miss J's birthday as well. Nicho was so tired and as soon as we got home and had his bath he fell fast asleep. Happy Birthday Isa and Jewels!!

What is that smell?
Yesterday my mom and I were chatting it up in the living room. Nicho was playing in the living room with his toys and then disappeared into his room. We continued to talk, John was in the kitchen. We realized it was TOO quiet so we went to check in on bear and this is what we found:

I love orange!
We went to celebrate Miss J's birthday today at Kiddie Acres. When we got out of the car Nicho screamed out with excitement, he loves Kiddie Acres. He rode all of the rides but we noticed that he picked only the orange rides. It is so funny, the boy loves orange...future Longhorn should I say? Mommy would prefer a Notre Dame little Leprechaun ;)
Happy second birthday J, we love you!

Happy Mother's Day
Happy Mother's Day to all the moms out there and to all of my special amigas! I had a wonderful Mother's Day with my two men starting out with John letting me sleep in this morning and taking over with bear. They both made me breakfast and it was so yummy! We went to church after wards and then came home and all took naps. We went to the park when we all woke up and then had another yummy dinner. We finished up the evening by reading LOVE YOU FOREVER by Robert Munsch to my favoritest little boy in the whole wide world and put him to bed. I love being a mother!

Where The Wild Things Are
Last Wednesday was Sophia's birthday. We celebrated her birthday today. She had a puppet show birthday party. The kiddos made sock puppets and after wards were read Where The Wild Things Are by a puppet Goblin. I thought for sure Nicho would be scared of the puppet but did well and so did the other kiddos. Happy second birthday Sophia!

March of Dimes
Today we joined Paul, Carla, and Sophia, along with my in-laws for the March of Dimes walk. Sophia was born premature exactly one month before Nicho. She was originally due for mid July 2007. She weighed 3 lbs at birth and stayed in the NICU for a little over a month until she gained weight and was healthy to go home. This walk is very special to Carla and we were very happy to walk with her and all the other families who also hold a special place in their hearts for premature babies and honor babies that didn't survive.

One more month...
And my baby will be two! I can't believe in exactly one month we will be celebrating my Nicho bear's second birthday!! This month will go by so fast, I mean we are already almost in mid May! I am so looking forward to spending the summer with Nicho and doing playgroups, morning walks at Lady Bird Lake, swimming lessons, visits to ACM, and so much more!

Mine,Mine,MINE!
Nicho's new favorite word is mine. He says it all the time: when I give him his paci for bed or nap time, when he looks at books, when I give him his juice cup or milk cup, when he is referring to himself...he puts his hands to his chest and says "mine" (in place of me) and my most favorite time when he says mine is when he gives mommy the biggest hug and says "mine" :)

Berry Picking Fun
This afternoon we took a Hill Country road trip. Our first stop was Sweet Berry Farm in Marble Falls,Tx. We love Sweet Berry Farm, we took Nicho to their pumpkin patch last fall and again had so much fun. We thought it would be a blast to take Nicho to pick some fresh strawberries. Nicho had so much fun running in the big open field and picking one of his favorite foods, strawberries. After we were done picking berries we ventured on to Llano,Tx for some yummy barbecue from Cooper's. John and I both love their brisket, it is so delish. Nicho did awesome in the car and did alot of dancing in his carseat :) He was so exhausted when we got home that after his bath he went straight to bed and fell fast asleep. This was one of our best ideas yet, we can't wait to go back next month and pick blackberries!
