Wall Art

Part of my birthday gifts this year were these precious canvases made by my sister-in-law, Marisol.  She did such a great job and I found the perfect spot for them :)

I am ready to order more for the rest of my walls.



Dave and Busters

Nicho is into video games lately so of course John was thrilled to take him to Dave and Busters for half price game Wednesdays. I went with them this time but probably not next time.  They got a little too crazy for me, I had to practically drag both of them out :)

Row, Row, Row Your Boat

We went to Lady Bird Lake this evening to celebrate my birthday early.  John, Nicho, and I went canoeing and had so much fun! Noah stayed home with my mom, he is still too little and plus it was close to his bed time.  Being down at the Lake is so peaceful and I probably would have fallen asleep if I could have :)

I love this city.

What a fun evening, we went to Fuddrucker's for some yummy burgers after all that rowing.

Biscuit Brothers

This morning we went to see the Biscuit Brothers at the Austin Symphony Ampitheatre.  The boys had fun, but it was HOT!

Austin Children's Museum

Tonight was Community night at the Austin Children's Museum.  My mom came into town this afternoon so after Nicho's swim lessons we went to the Museum together. 

We met up with my brother and sister-in-law with their kiddos at Chili's afterwards so they could also see my mom.  It was a fun night.

It's SO HOT!

This morning I went for my usual run at Lady Bird Lake but this time brought Nicho's bike along so he could get some exercise too.  He did really well and rode his bike the entire 3 mile loop.  We had to stop for water breaks from time to time but he did so good and I was proud of him!  We went to a nearby splash pad to cool off afterwards.

Movie and Pool Night

Nicho and I had a date tonight at Deep Eddy Pool.  We packed up a dinner picnic,went for a swim and watched one of Nicho's favorite movies, Despicable Me. I really enjoyed the alone time with him.

Practice, Practice, Practice

Nicho has become really interested in writing his name.  When he gets cards in the mail either it be thank you notes from friend's parties or invites, his friend usually signs their name so he wanted to write his.

Shoes!

I was cleaning the boys closet today when I found all of Nicho's old shoes I had stored away for Noah.  It was like a gold mine!  I had bought Noah 2 pairs of shoes at the beginning of the summer for the fall, not realizing I had shoes stored away!! Noah is set on shoes to last him for a while or at least until I find him a really good pair on sale ;)

Swim Lessons Begin

Today Nicho started up swim lessons again. His first day, and he was under water already!

After swim lessons we headed to the playground for some monkey bar fun :)

Last Day of Summer Camp

To celebrate the end of the UT Summer Camp, a few moms put together a picnic at a nearby park with a splash pad.  When we got there the splash pad wasn't working, boo. 

So a few of us left to another nearby park where the splash pad WAS working. 

I am sad that our time at the UT Lab school is over for now.  Nicholas is on the wait list at Noah's new school which is closer to where my mother-in-law lives AND my work too. I am hoping it works out and he is accepted into their Pre-k program.

Fourth of July

John had to work this morning so the kids and I  headed to the annual Lakeway 4th of July Parade this morning where we met the Peden Family.

 After standing in the heat for an hour, we went to the Galleria for some cooling off in the fountain.

Happy Birthday To Daddy

We met the in-laws at Texas Roadhouse for John's birthday.  The boys were so tired, Nicho didn't nap all day and Noah napped 30 minutes shorter than usual.  It was a fun outing any how but as soon as we left Nicho fell asleep in the car and was out for the night.

Earlier today I had bought an Oreo Blizzard cake from Dairy Queen for John, his favorite! We cut into it after both boys were in bed because they were so pooped from dinner.
