Guess Who's In Town?!?!

Today we made a quick stop by the Mall after we left my brother's house this evening to see Santa. I love taking Nicho to see Santa in November because there is never a line!! He did well as you can see, however he was more interested in riding the train after wards so he cooperated quickly and then he got his train ride. He was the only one on the train and was SO excited because he was able to ride on it longer since there also was not a line for the train and no one was waiting!!

Bed Time "Stalling"

Lately our bed times have been going something like this:

Mommy: "Nite-Nite Nicho I love you."

Nicho: "BYE!"

A few minutes will pass...

Nicho: "MOMMA!! I want some wa-wa"

Mommy: "okay just a minute" (goes to get a glass of water)

Nicho: (drinks his water) "ahh, thank you momma"

Mommy: "I love you"

A few minutes later...

Nicho: "MOMMA!! I want book"

Mommy: " *sigh* okay" (gives him a book to look at) "Nite-nite"

A few minutes later...

Nicho: "MOMMA!! "Pee!"

Mommy: (thinking in my head "seriously??!! go in your diaper!!") "*sigh* okay let's go potty"

Nicho: (goes pee and then sits and decides if he needs to poo which can last a few minutes)

HE IS ONLY 2 YEARS 5 MONTHS, IS ANYONE ELSE GOING THROUGH THIS ALREADY??!!

Seriously??

This morning Nicho and I went for a walk on Town Lake. After hearing about my friend Nicky's bad experience running over dog poo this past summer at TL, I make sure and pay attention and look out for the poo that the dog owners tend to "overlook" and not pick up after their pet...shame, shame. Well I must have been in the zone and didn't realize that we RAN over poo!! DISGUSTING!! Luckily this happened at the beginning of our walk so I had over 2.5 miles to "walk" as much poo off the tire. I would pick up a stick and scrape some off at a time along the trail and then once we passed the canoe dock area we went through the water a few times and I scraped some more off. I managed to get it all off by the time we got to our car and luckily my car has a plastic cargo tray in the back so the stroller was not on the carpet at all. Once we got home we took it out to the deck and gave it a GOOD wash. It is drying now on the patio all clean again :) Pet owners!! Pick up your dog's poo!!

Happy Veterans Day

Today Nicho went to the Veterans Day parade downtown with Granny and Grandpa. They parked their car and took a bus downtown in which Nicho LOVED. Olga said that Nicho squealed with joy when he saw they would be riding a bus!! Afterwards he spent the rest of the day with Daddy :) Here are a few pictures from the parade.

A huge thank you to all of the men and women who risk their lives everyday to protect our country. A big thank you to daddy as well who also served in the military for 6 years before Nicho was born. You did a great job and we love you, Semper Fi!

Rainy Sunday

What do you do on a rainy Sunday to keep a 2 year old entertained? Play dough of course! Mommy made some fresh play dough for bear and he played with it for almost an hour making sculptures, of course mommy made some art too :)

He also did some drawing on his chalkboard, mommy didn't bring out the paint this time.
And of course some snuggling...this picture reminded me of the one below...
Me and my Nicho bear when he was just a month old.

Where are Mommy's Keys?

Usually when I get home I hang my keys up on the key holder in the kitchen. I was tired the other day and just set them on the dining room table. Later on I was looking for them, after spending 30 minutes searching there was one last place I had not looked...
Yup I found them in his Winnie the Pooh car along with his other hidden treasures...*sigh*
