Rejoice!

Nicho had his Preschool Christmas Program today.  The children had Chapel and sang beautiful Christmas songs.  When they all walked into the Church, they each carried a new stuffed animal.  The children's stuffed animals will be taken and donated to Dell Children's Hospital in honor of one little boy who's last Christmas wish was for all of the little boys and girls at the Hospital to have a gift for Christmas.  It was very touching to hear his story.

I feel so blessed to have found this school.  I was meant to have my children here this year. We loved our time at our previous school, but there is something about a Christian school that makes you feel so warm and loved.  This community has done so much for our family especially after they learned of my sickness.  I don't even know half of the parents in my kiddos classes but they all made dinner/gave us gift cards for dinner and even put a craft basket together for the kids.  So when the kiddos are with my mom, mother-in-law, husband, or a friend when I start my treatment they can just pull out a craft to keep the boys busy.
I am extremely blessed.

Good Riddance, November

November has never really been my favorite month.  I love October and Halloween but I am always happy to skip right over and go from Halloween Decor to Christmas Decorations.  Don't get me wrong, I do love to spend time with family on Thanksgiving however ever since my Grandmother passed away it's never been the same.  After all, November is when her health really started to deteriorate after her Surgery.  She was never the same after it.

I had my second surgery and I am glad it is all D-O-N-E!  I am so grateful that I noticed the lump and followed my instincts by seeing a Doctor the next day.  I can't wait to see what December brings.

Thankful for Besties

I found out today that  Cancer cells were found on the nodule that was removed during Surgery.  A part of me had already knew that, but I didn't want to believe it.  After all my first Biopsy came back "not normal" however my Doctor was being optimistic and didn't want to call it "Cancer" but he knew whatever it was needed to be removed and tested again.
I will be having another Surgery soon to have the other side of my Thyroid removed.  Prayers, please.
After my shock from the news, my bestie invited me out to drinks and to see Breaking Dawn to help cheer me up.  What would I do without her???  She cheered me up and got some good laughs out of me.  I love you, Nick!!

Yesterday was an emotional day for me.
It was the 8th anniversary since my Grandmother passed away and  to top it off, I also went into Surgery for a right Thyroid Lobectomy.  I also spent the night at the Hospital, away from my babies.  Although I tried not to show it, I was afraid of my Surgery.  Going under scares me, the thought of not knowing what is going on, etc...
When I came home from the hospital today I found these beautiful flowers.  My school friends sent these to my home and they greeted me as I walked into the kitchen.  My co-workers are so sweet!  They also made me frozen dinners so I would not have to worry about cooking.  I just love them!!
I should get the results from my Surgery this coming week.  My fingers are crossed that no Cancer is found.

Preschool Thanksgiving Feast

Today was Nicho's Preschool Thanksgiving Feast.  The children sang a few songs and then all the 4 year old classes had a feast together.
Nicho was a Pilgrim
I just adore this little guy.  There are many moments that I have each week when I can still picture him as a toddler.  He is growing way too fast.
This year I am Thankful for my family and friends. I will not take my health for granted anymore.
