First Tee Ball Game

Nicho had his first game today.  He was so excited and looked forward to it all week.  Everyday he would ask me if it would be a 'baseball day.'
Since this age group is very young and still learning the fundamentals of baseball, no score is kept and game day is basically practice with the other team.  I mean, learning to catch the ball and throw it to bases to get people out is a little much for them to grasp at such a young age. Some of them were just excited to catch the ball and hold on to it and some were just running in the field without touching the bases. It is hilarious to watch a bunch of 3 year olds grasp this concept. They all get a chance to practice different positions in outfield and they all get a turn to bat at least 3 times.  They all did so well and I think by the end of the season they will all have baseball down!

 Running to home!
Nicho with Daddy at second base giving him a little pep talk.  John helped out at the game and will most likely fill in as an Assistant on game days since he cannot participate at practices due to school.  All of the dads helped guide the kiddos at the game.
Running after the ball, good hustling Nicho!
Giving Maycee a high five! Great team work!
 RUN Nicho!
Waiting at a base, making sure it will be safe to run to the next base...
This is a video of Nicho at bat.

Yay for Nicho!  Can't wait until next game :)
