Spring Break 2011

We had a great Spring Break this year.  We started the week off with some Spring yard work, we raked over 10 bags of leaves but it needed to be done so that the kids could have a nice clean back yard to play.  That's the down side to having lots of trees in the yard, the joys of home ownership :)
On Tuesday we had lunch at Mighty Fine Burger (first time) and it was pretty good.
Someone's first chocolate shake :)
We are not big fans of eating out (because we would rather cook our own food and actually know what is in our food) but had heard many people rant and rave over it.  Our opinion of it: it was okay, probably won't eat there again, not that the service or food was bad (great service BTW)but because I can make an equivalent or better burger at home and as stated above we just are not big fans of eating out.  After Mighty Fine we went to Academy for some Tee Ball gear.  Nicho was so excited about all of his Tee ball gear and looks adorable when he wears his glove.  He even fell asleep that night with it. Of course that afternoon John and Nicho went outside and played some Tee Ball.  John was also on Spring Break with us, he took the week off work and of course he had no school so it was SO nice to hang out with Daddy for a few days.

We also worked on Nicho pumping his own legs over the break, success!

Wednesday the boys and I did take a trip down to the Coast to visit family while John stayed back and worked on some projects at home.
We planned our route through Victoria, TX so we could visit the Children's Museum on our way to Palacios and on our way back to Austin we stopped at the Texas Zoo.  My mom came back to Austin with us so that she could visit us for the week which has been WONDERFUL!

So our break looked like this: Yard work...check,my closet organized...check,tee ball gear purchased...check,small getaway...check,house cleaned...check!  I was thrilled about all I was able to get done this Spring Break, even with 2 young kids :)
I took lots of pictures and put them all together in a slide show because there were just too many.
Enjoy!
