Fourth of July 2008, Washington DC

Nicho at 13 months old

Nicho was kept super busy this past weekend. He had a great Fourth of July. We spent the afternoon at his Granny and Grandpa's lake house where Grandpa barbecued yummy brisket and grilled chicken. After we were done stuffing ourselves Nicho spent the rest of the afternoon running around the yard, jumping on the trampoline and swinging on the swing set. It was so hot but he was having a blast. Don't worry mommy kept him hydrated with water. When he started showing signs of being tired we went inside for a cool down bath and let him play indoors until it was time to watch the fireworks! We walked down to the lake at about 9:00 where Sail and Ski was having a little event with a band performing music in front before the fireworks show. Nicho danced in his chair and the daddy bought a sno-cone for mommy which N quickly snatched away :( but it kept him occupied until the fireworks began. Mommy forgot the camera at home so no 4th of July pictures this year :( The fireworks were awesome but nothing compared to last year's fireworks. We were fortunate enough to take bear to spend fourth of July in Washington DC and we had an AMAZING fireworks show. I can't believe it has been a year already!! It just seems like yesterday!! Above are some pics from last year since I have no pics from this year.



On Sunday we went to a birthday party at the Zoo. Again mommy forgot the camera *sigh* I wonder why I am so forgetful these days ;) It was a Holiday weekend and the Zoo was quiet except for the party people. We had a blast. Nicho kept mommy busy the entire time and when we got home mommy passed out on the couch! This heat is exhausting!
